From the Mayors Office…..
The temperature is slowing dropping and the leaves are starting to change colors, and as I drive around our Village, it’s great to see so many residents decorating their homes and yards for both the Fall 🍁 season, and of course, Halloween 👻.
A few reminders for everyone as to what is going on in and around our village.
🍁 We have NOT approved any solicitation permits for this upcoming (05th-11th) week
🍁 Schools are closed this Friday the 9th for NEOEA day

🍁 Lake County Auditor meeting at 5:00 PM at Village Hall on Thursday the 8th
🍁 Village Council meeting on Thursday the 8th at 6:00 PM. It will be live streamed and later put on You-Tube.
🍁 Wild Goose is planning on opening Thursday the 8th
🍁 We have many school sporting events this week. If you’re looking for something to do, please go show our students your support
🍁 Manchester bridge is a few weeks away from completion
🍁 Interested in getting Village updates faster than reading them on Facebook? Follow the steps in the attached picture, and when situations like the water main breaks happen, we will send you a text.
Finally, I want to provide a more detailed update regarding the Green street waterline project, as well as the three water main breaks we had last week in Main Street and Center street.
Green Street: The Bentley crew was reassigned to an emergency at Lubrizol on 09/22. I was informed they would most likely be at that site all of last week as well, and the hope is for them to return to our project this week. I will provide updates as I get them.
Water Main Breaks: Our waterlines are 70 plus years old, and as a result, the unfortunate fact is that it’s inevitable they will burst.
I want to thank the residents that were affected for their patience and understanding, as well as to all those that quickly contacted me, our offices and our police to bring it to our attention. I also want to thank the Lake County Utility crews that were quick to respond to all three incidents.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe week. If you need to contact me, please feel free to call or text me at 440-251-0798.
