PUBLIC NOTICE — JURY SCAM WARNING
Ochiltree County District Clerk’s Office
The Ochiltree County District Clerk’s Office is aware of scams involving individuals contacting citizens and claiming they have failed to appear for jury duty.
Please be aware of the following:
* Our office does NOT call jurors to notify them that they have been selected for jury duty. Jury summonses are sent through the U.S. Mail.
* If a summoned juror fails to appear, any follow-up notice from our office is also sent by mail.
* We do NOT sell or provide juror names, addresses, or personal information to individuals or companies.
* Be suspicious of anyone calling and claiming to represent the court or District Clerk’s Office while demanding money, payment, personal information, or immediate action because of missed jury duty.
If you receive a suspicious call concerning jury service, do not provide personal or financial information and do not make a payment.
If you are uncertain whether correspondence regarding jury duty is legitimate, please contact the Ochiltree County District Clerk’s Office directly using the official contact information for our office.
Please share this information with family, friends, and especially anyone who may be vulnerable to telephone scams.
