🐾♥ MEET ROCCO, OUR ONE-OF-A-KIND BOY! ♥🐾
Look at this handsome fella! 😍
This is Mr. Rocco! A big, beautiful German Shepherd with a heart of gold, paws the size of your hands, and a story as unique as he is. 🐶❤️
Rocco came to us as an owner surrender through absolutely no fault of his own.
His previous family originally found him abandoned and opened their hearts and home to him. They made sure he received vaccinations, grooming, proper nutrition, and the care he deserved.
As time went on, they began noticing something a little different about this handsome boy. Rocco seemed to keep his head tilted to one side most of the time, and occasionally he struggled with tasks that might come easily to other dogs.
As Rocco continued growing (and growing… and GROWING! 😂🐾), his family realized that his needs might be more than they could manage. They made the difficult but responsible decision to surrender him so he could have the opportunity to find a home better suited to his needs.
❤️ WHAT MAKES ROCCO SO SPECIAL?
Rocco is a playful German Shepherd who is just 10 MONTHS OLD! He's a BIG boy with an even BIGGER personality and plenty of puppy energy!
Rocco is believed to possibly have some type of condition that causes his head to remain tilted to one side most of the time. This gives him his adorable, signature sideways look and can sometimes make some everyday tasks a little more challenging.
Shortly after arriving in our care, Rocco was examined by our veterinarian as a precaution. It is not clear what causes his tilt but at this time, it does not appear to be negatively affecting his quality of life.
And trust us… ROCCO IS LOVING LIFE! 🥰
🐾 He runs!
🐾 He plays!
🐾 He eats like a champ!
🐾 He loves his people!
🐾 And he has all the goofy, lovable energy you'd expect from a 10-month-old German Shepherd!
Rocco doesn't know he's different, and we don't think anyone needs to tell him! ❤️
🏡 WHAT KIND OF HOME DOES ROCCO NEED?
Rocco isn't looking for someone to feel sorry for him. He's looking for someone to BELIEVE in him!
German Shepherds are intelligent, energetic working dogs that thrive with structure, training, and purpose. Rocco is no exception!
He needs a family who understands his breed, has the patience to help him learn, and is willing to give him a little extra guidance as he navigates the world in his own special way.
He may see the world from a different angle, but that doesn't mean he deserves anything less than a wonderful life.

We know there's a special person or family out there who will look past his differences and see what we see — a beautiful, loving, playful young dog with so much potential and so much love to give.
