What a great way to end our first quarter with Friday’s VIPA Fun Run! I am so excited to share that, thanks to the incredible support of our Heritage families, we not only met our fundraising goal—we surpassed it! 🎉
Thank you to everyone who registered, donated, shared fundraising links with family and friends, and helped make this event such a success. Our students had an absolute blast! A very special thank you also goes to our VIPA volunteers, parent volunteers, and Heritage staff who gave their time and energy to make Friday such a fun day for our kids. We couldn’t have done it without you!
There is still time to add any last-minute donations throughout Fall Break. VIPA will provide us with the final fundraising total when we return, and I can’t wait to see where we landed!
And, because we reached our goal, everyone who officially registered will receive a FREE Great Wolf Lodge pass! Passes will be sent to the email address that was used when registering for the Fun Run, so please keep an eye on your inbox for that information.

This past Saturday Academy, students read The Dot and explored the themes of creativity, self-expression, and believing in themselves. Students painted, cut, and transformed their dots into something new, using their imaginations to think outside the box! They learned that their ideas are valuable and that creativity can turn a simple idea into something special.

Join Us for Our Next Saturday Academy on October 24th. Please make sure all permission slips are turned in by Wednesday, October 21st. Permission slips cannot be turned in after Wednesday and students will not be able to drop in on the day of Saturday Academy due to required teacher-to-student ratios.

To make signing up easier, we now have a virtual sign-up option! Families may also complete a paper permission slip, which are available in our front office.

Please remember that all school and dress code expectations continue to apply during Saturday Academy.

We look forward to another fun and engaging Saturday with our students. Thank you for your support and cooperation!

Dear Heritage Families,
Welcome to the 2026–27 school year!
As we celebrate the 31st anniversary of The Heritage School, I am excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and partnership with our incredible students, families, and staff. Together, we remain committed to our mission of "ensuring that every student reaches their highest potential through engaging, rigorous instruction, a safe and caring environment, and strong partnerships between staff, parents, and students. It is this shared commitment that continues the Heritage tradition of academic excellence and strong character."

To help families prepare for the new year, grade-level school supply lists and our student dress code are available on our website. Please remember that school supplies are requested rather than required, and students will have a few days after school begins before they will need them.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 12, from 4:30–6:30 p.m. You will be able to view your child's teacher through the Aeries Parent Portal a few days before school begins. Please continue to check both Aeries and ClassDojo for important updates. You'll also find introductions to our new staff members and information about grade-level changes in our upcoming August newsletter and on our website.

Our wonderful VIPA partners are already preparing for another great year and will once again provide a free pizza dinner for all Heritage families during Back to School Night! Be sure to stop by the VIPA table to learn about membership and discover ways you can get involved. Please note that VIPA will not be selling disaster packs this year, and additional information about this change will be included in our August newsletter.

Throughout the school year, my goal is to keep our Heritage community informed through regular emails, monthly newsletters, phone messages, ClassDojo, our website, and our page. In the coming weeks, we'll be sharing additional information about our new staff members, upcoming events, VIPA activities, and arrival and dismissal procedures.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of The Heritage School. We are looking forward to another outstanding year and can't wait to welcome everyone back on campus. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we'll see you soon at Back to School Night!
Warmly,
Debbie Arbizu

Last week was a short week, made even shorter with the inclement weather day, but it was a good week with our All A's lunch being a highlight for our middle school students who had all A's for the first semester. We are proud of them! Thank you to ASB, Mr. Quinn, Mrs. Brown, and a special thank you to Mrs. Adame who helped put the reward lunch together for our kids and to our parents who donated for the gift bags!

We ended last week with our annual Father/Daughter Dinner and Dance. This year's theme was "Denim and Diamonds" and once again, it was such a beautiful event and forever memories were made. Thank you to everyone who attended and a big thank you to our VIPA Board and volunteer members who helped to make it such a special night!
