Philadelphia Peace Plaza is the world's first public space dedicated to the memories of girls and women coerced into sexual slavery in the 30s and 40s.

Philadelphia Peace Plaza memorializes over 200,000 girls and women from Asia and Oceania who were removed from their homes and coerced into sexual slavery by the Imperial Armed Forces of Japan between 1932 and 1945 and those who courageously spoke out against this history. To be located at 805 S Front St in Philadelphia’s Queen Village neighborhood, within walking distance of the Independence Hall
