Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission COMMENT POLICY

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) sponsors a number of official social media sites.

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission is dedicated to uniting the region's elected officials, planning professionals, and the public with a common vision of making a great region even greater. Comments posted to social media sites maintained by DVRPC will be monitored and inappropriate content will be removed. DVRPC will remove any prohibited content, including those items that are: (1) not related to DVRPC; (2) profane language or content; (3) content that defames or threatens to defame a person or group of persons; (4) sexual content or links to sexual content; (5) solicitations of commerce; (6) conduct or encouragement of illegal activity; (7) information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems; or, (8) content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party. DVRPC, however, disclaims any and all responsibility and liability for any materials that are prohibited under these guidelines, which cannot be removed in an expeditious and otherwise timely manner. DVRPC welcomes your comments and we encourage you to get involved. Did you know that when a pedestrian is hit by a driver traveling at 50 miles per hour, there is a 75% risk of death? Or that, in the DVRPC region in 2025, 106 pedestrians were killed in crashes? The more we know, the safer we drive. Slow down and save a life.

Last week DVRPC joined state and local officials to celebrate the opening of the Schuylkill River Trail Connector to the Route 422 Bridge in Montgomery County. This new trail segment, nearly a mile in length, closes a critical gap in the regional trail network, creating a nearly 70-mile continuous trail connecting communities from Philadelphia to Reading.
