Our PA Black Maternal Health Caucus Caucus was able to get SIX House Resolutions passed this Session Week ranging from ’s Neonatal Nurses Week resolution to ’ Week and Breastfeeding Month resolutions.

It is important to acknowledge and honor the people, work, and the issues positively for in our Commonwealth!

Calling all breastfeeding moms and nursing parents!

The first ever nursing pod has been installed in the Capitol. It is officially open and ready to use TODAY.

The nursing pod is located in the East Wing of the Capitol near the 6EW office suite.

Thank you for your years of advocacy and the PA Dept. of General Services for taking the first step.

This is just the start. There are more changes we want to make and we need your feedback using the QR code in the pod.

Now it is time to pass House Bill 707 introduced by to require all Commonwealth-owned buildings to have at least one nursing room or nursing pod that meets a certain hygienic, quality, and accessibility standard.

On Monday, July 20th H.B. 1851 was signed into law by Governor Shapiro marking the 4th bill from the Pennsylvania MOMNIBUS package to be sent to the governors desk on behalf of Pennsylvania families. The PBMHC thanks Rep. Gina H. Curry for her leadership on this legislation and remains committed to protecting Pennsylvania moms one bill at a time.
