mbers social, recreational, educational, health, and wellness activities. The Peter Bressi Northeast Senior Center offers a daily congregate meal program at lunchtime. A variety of group activities are available, which varies from month to month. Several on-going favorites include: bingo, dominos, table games, and Nintendo Wii. Information and Assistance is also offered at the center. The Center Caseworker assists seniors with rent rebates, entitlement programs, housing options and questions/referrals regarding health issues. Individual Counseling is available upon request and group sessions are offered on an on-going basis. Members 65 or older qualify for reduced rates with the CCT shared ride program. This service is available for center rides, and many types of trips, group trips, medical appointments, shopping, recreation, etc. The center is easily accessible by multiple SEPTA bus routes and a FREE secure parking lot is also available, at no cost to members who drive. The center also has a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Our volunteers are a very important component of the Senior Center. Please consider sharing your time, energy, skills, and knowledge with others through many of our opportunities. Membership is open to all Philadelphia residents, a minimum 60 years of age, and able to conduct one’s self independently while at the Center. Individuals may visit the Center three times before becoming a member. Benefits of membership include: keeping your mind and body active, the opportunity to meet new people, socialization, learning new things, obtaining valuable information, and helping others.
