They grow up so fast!

The kids, that is... Definitely not the giant Sequoia, which can take thousands of years to reach their incredible size!

Sequoia National Park will leave you speechless as you walk among us ancient giants, some of which are the largest on Earth!

Don't look down!

Looming high above the Generals Highway with Sequoia National Park is the large granite dome of Moro Rock!

The top can be reached by climbing around 400 steps as you wind your way to the summit!

Get ready to enjoy stunning views of Sequoia National Park and the surrounding peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains as you ascend above the clouds.

Don't let your kids sit at home all day staring at their phone. Get out there and start an adventure!

California's Pinnacles National Park is a small but mighty park, full of rugged and inspiring landscapes, jaw dropping vistas, and home to the majestic California Condor.

Pinnacles National Park is a wilderness playground for the young and old with numerous hiking trails, climbing routes, caves, and overlooks...and minimal cell phone service!

Don't forget about the less traveled side of Yosemite National Park!

Situated in the Northwest corner of Yosemite National Park, Hetch Hetchy is a picturesque, remote region bursting with wildflowers, and notorized by the somewhat controversial 430 ft O'Shaughnessy Dam.

While the battle over if the dam should stay or go still rages on to this day, YOU should definitely escape the crowds of Yosemite Valley and explore this majestic landscape!

It's Monday... Be like the Banana Slug and take it slow... It's gonna be a long week!

The mighty Banana Slugs of Muir Woods National Monument can grow up to 10" long and, depending on the season, can take on a bright yellow (ripe!) or greenish (unripe!) color! These slow moving forest residents are harmless, but definitely leave their own little trail of "breadcrumbs" as they move along the trees and forest floor. Their trail of slime let's you know they were here first!

Bear and Bison attacks, dehydration, falling over the cliff....these all pale in comparison to the dreaded Ice Cream Cone (or at least if you are lactose intolerant!)πŸ˜‚

While is not necessarily one of the most dangerous National Parks in America, it is not without the occasional hazard (such as the chance for some ice cream when you have a car full of kids!🍦).
Driving the incredible Kings Canyon Scenic Byway (Highway 180) will take you along the edge of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and down to the mighty Kings River. This incredible drive takes you from the towering Sequoia trees, alongside stunning waterfalls and mountain vistas, and finally ending at the picturesque Cedar Grove!

While this twisty and windy road might not be everyone's "cup of tea", just know the true threat of Ice Cream is lurking just around the bend!

What's black, white, soars high in the sky, and is rarely seen???

The California Condor!!

California's Pinnacles National Park has been reintroducing these critically endangered birds into the park since 2003!

With a wingspan of nearly 9ft, these majestic birds soar among the High Peaks of Pinnacles National Park!

The 26,000 acre Pinnacles National Park remains one of the most successful California Condor re-establishment programs to this day, and thanks to the NPS, the California Condor, like you, can enjoy this incredible landscape!

You know that feeling when you are going to your friend's apartment for the first time, and end up at the wrong place..? πŸ₯΄πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

It's Western Gull nesting season on Anacapa Island at Channel Islands National Park! This means the world largest colony of Western Gulls take over this diminutive little island in the Pacific Ocean to raise the next generation of Gulls. (At least that is what is technically going on!)🐣🐣🐣

In reality, a few thousand Western Gulls have made their nests inches off the hiking trails on this island, and each and everyone one of them will let you know they are not happy to see you today!

So, remember they were here first, and tread lightly. (Also, wear something with a hood as all those birds still need to go to the bathroom from time to timeπŸ’©)

It's never a good idea to look up your friend's nose.....🀧

. Unless that friend is a 3,000 ft granite monolith named "El Capitan"!

Yosemite National Park's iconic "El Capitan" attracts visitors and big wall climbers from all over the world to view this immense granite rock formation. The Nose of the affectionately named "El Cap" is easily identified by the obvious prow in the rich face separating the southwest and southeast faces of the rock.

With over 70 established climbing routes up "El Cap", you are virtually guaranteed to see someone hanging off The Nose πŸ‘ƒ!

But just like any nose, always make sure it's clean!
