The purpose of theses calls is to fraudulently obtain personal information such as Medicare numbers, social security numbers, and other sensitive information. Please beware of this, and NEVER share any personal information with these callers. The best way to protect yourself from this is to start by NOT answering the phone if you don't recognize the number - let the call go to voicemail. If its a scammer, they won't leave a message.
