Regarding 4th of July down by the river, here is some information from the founder of One River Alliance, Dana Russikoff:
1) Who is on the board of this non profit.
****One River Alliance is a newly formed non-profit www.oneriveralliance.org that I founded. We are forming our board, so if you or anyone you know would like to be considered, pls let me know.
2) Who is the councilmen man who helped get this event approved and permits
****While we are thrilled that Councilman Bobby Henon supports (not sponsors) our event, we went through the proper city channels and paid the required fees to get the necessary permits for this event.
3) What streets are going to be closed off due to this event
****Our goal has always been to minimize disruption to the neighboring community because we're doing this for the community. The only street that will be closed is Delaware Ave between Linden and Arendell.
4) Why haven’t any of the residents been informed of this event
****They were, via the post that you're responding to, at a prior ETCA meeting as well as this article -

5) Where are the profits going from this event
****Fiscally, it is an unprofitable event. But we do intend for the community to profit by enjoying it.
6) Where did the money come from to put on this event. Professional fire works are expensive. It cost 300,000g to put on this event at Penns Landing.
****We are thrilled to be using the same company that does the Penn's Landing fireworks, but it is costing nowhere near $300K (not sure where you got that # from). Happy to share our financials. The $$ is coming from local business sponsors.
7) Is there going to be extra police there
****Yes - we made a significant investment in police officers, including a police supervisor, as well as an additional 10 security officers from a 3rd party security firm.
8) This will be a major inconvenience for anyone who lives in the area that is not attending
****We have tried very hard for it not to be. The only street closure will be Delaware Ave between Linden and Arendell, because we we will have food trucks and port-a-pots there.
9) Will you be allowed to park at the river. If not or if so. where is the overflow going to park.
****Yes - the parking lot will open at 5pm for those attending the event.
