Great stopping by the MiniMUN event at City Hall and talking with students from Lankenau and Central High Schools. It was inspiring to see them take the lead, debate budget proposals, and engage in real-world civic learning. The future is bright with young leaders like these! 👏🏛️

An inspiring evening at Tribute to Change 2026 ✨ Celebrating changemakers, community victories, and the power of collective action. Grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many people working toward a more just and equitable future. Thank you Bread & Roses Community Fund for having me!

For years, the Gayborhood has been home to our LGBTQ+ community, and people deserve to feel safe in their homes. That’s why I introduced a resolution authorizing hearings to examine what happened at Pride last weekend, and what the City is doing to ensure it never happens again.

A scene from Philly’s Funniest Block ribbon cutting!

Yesterday, I was proud to recognize Philly’s Funniest Block with a celebration of the theaters, comedy clubs, artists, and audiences that make our city’s arts and nightlife scene so special. As summer visitors come to see what Philly is all about, this block is a great place to start.

Congrats to everyone keeping the laughs coming! 🎤✨

Thank you to all who joined last night for our opening reception of Philadelphia Stories 250. Our Pride exhibit— Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Joy— comes at a time when we celebrate not only LGBTQ+ history and tenacity, but also the freedom to live authentically, to build community, and to experience joy openly. Thank you to the exhibition partners: Mural Arts Philadelphia Kenyatta Johnson Councilmember Mark Squilla and Creative Philadelphia 👏

Philadelphia Fight is a leader in providing comprehensive, equitable, and compassionate healthcare and support services for individuals and communities facing health disparities. I was so pleased to present a citation for their HIV Education Summit — one of the longest-running and most accessible HIV-focused events that provides a forum to present the latest information about research, evidence-based HIV prevention, outreach strategies, and more.
