At EPA we believe farmers know best.

We visited operations in the Mid-Atlantic & U.S. EPA Southeast Region this week to see how regenerative agriculture is helping farmers protect the land, improve water quality, and strengthen their operations, as demonstrated at Harborview Farms.

We announced that Reading Terminal Market is a new EPA Feed It Onward Partner. We celebrated their partnership with organizations like Lifecycle Renewables, Inc. to compost food waste and support sustainability efforts here in Philadelphia. Not just talking energy, seeing it up close.

We recently visited Repsol’s operations in Pennsylvania for an up-close look at how our natural resources are helping power homes, businesses, and our economy.

Pennsylvania has the resources and workforce to produce more American energy — strengthening energy independence, supporting good-paying jobs, and helping lower energy costs. We are making sure to protect our air and water, streamline permitting, and support domestic energy production.

🌊 Big investments are making a big difference for the Chesapeake Bay!

đź’§ Recently, EPA Deputy Administrator joined partners to announce $37.5 million in federal funding supporting more than $90 million in projects to reduce nutrient and sediment pollution across the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

🌱 These grants will support communities and local partners putting conservation practices and nature-based solutions to work—helping reduce pollution, restore habitat, and improve water quality. The grants are administered by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation & help local governments, conservation districts, nonprofits, and community partners implement conservation practices to protect the Bay.

Celebrating 20 years of impact with our Schuylkill Action Network partners. Since its inception in 2006, the Schuylkill River Restoration Fund has awarded more than $6 million in funding, supported 136 projects, and helped permanently preserve over 2,000 acres of high-priority lands throughout the watershed.

We were able to see projects highlighting these restoration efforts across the Schuylkill River Watershed & celebrate the 2026 Schuylkill River Restoration Fund grant awards. This year’s eight grant projects will help:

🌊 Restore streams
đźšś Reduce agricultural runoff
🌧️ Improve stormwater management
đźš° Protect drinking water throughout the Schuylkill River Watershed

đź‘Ź These investments continue to make a lasting difference for the Schuylkill River, local communities, and the drinking water resources we all depend on.
