It was a big weekend for TFD!! Our cadets were getting after it last weekend at CFTX.
The opportunity to sharpen skills and test grit was not taken lightly! Beyond land navigation and patrol effectiveness, cadets took advantage of the chance to develop as personable leaders.
Congratulations to Brother Joe on his long-awaited promotion to E-5! A leader of leaders and true steward of the profession.

Emily M. Coyle is this week’s senior spotlight! Emily attends the University of Pennsylvania and will graduate with an M.S in Criminology/M.P.A international Impact Evaluation. Emily will commission into the active duty component of the military intelligence branch! Emily plans to apply to become a Foreign Area Officer after graduation. She will most miss training the motivated cadets and being around the hardworking senior class and cadre. Outside of ROTC, she enjoys watching K dramas, exploring the city, hiking, the gym, and studying.
Her advice to the future classes is that your attitude is contagious, so be optimistic!! Your time in ROTC will pass by quickly, so enjoy every moment with your fellow cadets, including the hardships and challenges. Every failure gets you closer to success, so don’t be afraid to make mistakes in this training environment. Good luck, and have fun!!
