Recap: Our annual Black History Month event brought members of the Mt. Airy community together to watch Sarah's Oil, fellowship over food and discuss the challenges impacting our community. The agreed upon solutions from our discussion included: an emphasis on voting, providing solid education for early-learners (reading), researching our family histories, and all we can to stabilize our neighborhood by ensuring our homes stay within our families.

This annual community gathering never disappoints. From the presentation of black history facts, to the discussion of current events, previewing of a relevant movie and consuming of a good meal, its always a good time together at our Rec.

Annual MLK Day of Service is here and we will see you at 9 a.m.

Looking forward to celebrating with all who have signed up for the Women Empowering Women event on March 29th.
