Heartbroken by the horrific violence in Erie. Dina and I are praying for the victims, their loved ones, and the entire Erie community.

We’re grateful to the brave law enforcement officers and first responders who ran toward danger. Pennsylvania stands with Erie.

Two women were found dead in the street, two children were killed, and the victim reportedly took their own life in a mass shooting in Erie, Pa.

Met with South Korea’s new Defense Minister Kang Shin-chul to reaffirm what matters: a strong U.S.-South Korea alliance deters China and North Korea and keeps the Indo-Pacific secure.

I reiterated that bold leadership and strategic investment in Pennsylvania are how we rebuild American shipbuilding and out-build China. Time is short, and we need bold action now.

The U.S.-Japan alliance is the cornerstone of peace and security in the Indo-Pacific.

I met Defense Minister Shinjirō Koizumi to discuss upgrading our defense cooperation as we face increasing aggression from shared adversaries. Now is the time for bold leadership and I assured him that Pennsylvania will help lead in building the future capabilities that the U.S.-Japan alliance needs.

From Nippon Steel to Hanwha, our allies are making major investments in Pennsylvania.

Over the next four days in Japan and South Korea, I’m making the case for more.

Pennsylvania workers can deliver. I want the next big investment in the Commonwealth.

Three years after the October 7th attack, I still think about the red dots on the doors at Kibbutz Kfar Aza. Each one marked a home where its resident was murdered by a terrorist.

Dina and I visited in the aftermath of Hamas’s horrific October 7th attack. We also met survivors and families whose lives had been shattered. What we witnessed has stayed with us.

I have stayed in close touch with hostage family members, including constituents in Pennsylvania.

Nearly 1,200 innocent people were murdered that day. Hundreds more were torn from their families and taken hostage.

This year, every hostage is finally home. But for too many families, there was no joyful reunion. The pain of that loss will never fade.

Today, Dina and I are praying for those murdered, their loved ones, and the survivors still carrying the scars of that day.

Three years have passed. The world will never forget October 7th. May the memories of those lost be a blessing.

When our closest allies invest in Pennsylvania, they invest in American workers, American industry, and our shared security.

We’ve already seen historic investments by Hanwha and Nippon Steel in PA, bringing next-gen manufacturing and thousands of jobs while strengthening America’s industrial base.

Over the next four days, I’ll be meeting with government and business leaders in Japan and South Korea to make the case for more.

PA has the workforce and industrial strength our allies need. I want the next major investment, and the jobs that come with it, to land in the Commonwealth.

My mom and dad were public school teachers. They taught me firsthand the difference a great teacher can make in a young person’s life.

On World Teachers’ Day, I’m grateful for Pennsylvania’s teachers and all they do for our students and our future.

This is a huge step in the right direction for parents and students.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s new rules provide a clear path to expand educational freedom and help families choose the education that works best for their children, regardless of ZIP code.

Pennsylvania now has the information it needs to opt in. I encourage the governor to do so and create expanded opportunities for kids across our commonwealth.

With the arrival of the long-awaited rules, Democratic governors are under more pressure to say whether they will opt in.

My friend U.S. Senator John Fetterman and I agree that America can’t govern by panic or partisan posturing, especially about AI.

We need a clear-eyed, bipartisan, country-first approach that protects Americans and ensures we win the AI race with China.

We are two United States senators from different parties, but we agree that a partisan, social media–driven meltdown over AI will solve nothing, write Dave McCormick and John Fetterman. Here’s what we should do instead.

I’m in Washington today, but my heart’s in Pittsburgh. Ken Griffin’s $3 billion commitment to Carnegie Mellon University is the largest individual gift in higher education history.

Pittsburgh is helping lead the next era of American innovation.
