Monday, October 19, 2026 is the final day to register to vote or update your information for the upcoming General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Don't lose your chance to make your voice heard - take action today!

Need to register? You can complete your application online, by mail, or in person at government agencies like PennDOT centers. Get started at the official Pennsylvania Voter Registration Page: https://www.pa.gov/agencies/vote/voter-registration

Online applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on October 19th, and paper forms must be received by your county election office by the close of business that same day.

Already registered? Double-check your status to ensure your address, name, and details are completely up to date before the cutoff. Check your official details on the Pennsylvania Voter Services Portal.

In recognition of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Action Wellness offices are closed today, October 12th.

As an organization rooted in Philadelphia, we acknowledge that our services operate on Lenapehoking, the ancestral land and territory of the Lenni-Lenape people. We encourage our community to reflect on, learn about and support Indigenous peoples history, resilience, and futures.

Happy National Coming Out Day! 🌈

Today, we celebrate the power of visibility, authenticity, and community. First observed in 1988, this day honors everyone who has found the courage to live openly, while standing in solidarity with those still finding their path toward a safer, discrimination-free world.

Today is also OURfest (Our United Resilience Festival), the nation's first festival created over three decades ago here in Philadelphia to commemorate National Coming Out Day—a vibrant weekend celebrating the LGBTQ+ community's journeys, resilience, and joy

Rounding out our look through Action Wellness history, join us this week as we look through our most recent years: 2016-2026!

This decade brought many exciting initiatives as well as tough decisions for our agency. As the COVID-19 Pandemic came and disrupted our services, it caused us to make many important changes regarding fundraising. We continued to fundraise throughout 2020 and 2021, while quietly brainstorming what was to come next.

In 2023, we said goodbye to then-Executive Director, Kevin Burns, and welcomed in Mary Evelyn Torres, our newest Executive Director. In 2024, we also had the honor of being gifted the rights to continue several fundraising events - The AIDS Walk, GayBINGO! Philly, and Black-Tie GayBINGO! - from The AIDS Fund, which ceased operations at the end of 2024. Due to rising costs, we made the difficult decision to end the AIDS Walk, but were still able to honor the events’ rich legacy at the AIDS Walk Retrospective, held at William Way LGBT Community Center.

Overall, this decade has been extremely fruitful and the mark of a new era in a time when HIV prevention and support have become threatened. While we look back, we are fiercely reminded that the future is both bright yet uncertain. The fight isn’t over, and we still need your support! Donate today to help keep our vital services going:
