🦅 TW8 RECAP 🦅

This week, Det 750 continued preparing GMC for upcoming training and leadership opportunities. POC demonstrated an ORI to familiarize GMC with the evaluation process and prepare cadets for completing their own ORIs in the coming training weeks. The demonstration gave GMC a chance to better understand expectations and build confidence before putting their knowledge and skills into practice.

Cadets also completed a GLP, working together to develop their leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The detachment held its second mentorship session, continuing to build relationships across schools and class years. These sessions provide cadets with opportunities to learn from one another, share experiences, and strengthen the connections that make up Det 750.

To close out the week, cadets completed the McGuire Loop for the first time this semester during PT. The loop challenged cadets physically and provided another opportunity to build endurance, push through challenges, and develop the readiness required of future Air Force officers. As training continues, Det 750 remains focused on strengthening leadership, building camaraderie, and preparing cadets for the challenges ahead. 🦅

🩺 ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: MAJ. PALMER 🩺

Next Alumni Spotlight is Maj. Palmer, a 2012 Villanova graduate and Detachment 750 alumnus who currently serves as an active-duty Air Force neurologist at Eglin AFB. After graduating, he attended New York Medical College through the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) before completing his neurology residency at UNC–Chapel Hill.

Maj. Palmer began his active-duty career at RAF Lakenheath in the United Kingdom, where he spent four years practicing medicine and traveling throughout the UK and Europe. He is now at Eglin AFB, where he will remain through the end of his active-duty commitment in 2028.

From medical school to practicing medicine overseas, Maj. Palmer’s career highlights the unique opportunities available through military service. His advice to current cadets? Be your own type of leader, treat people with respect, and remember leadership is people, not rank or position. 🇺🇸✈️

Stay tuned throughout the semester to hear from more Det 750 alumni and learn where their time at Det 750 has taken them!

🦅 TW7 RECAP 🦅

Det 750 kicked off Operation Pacific Warden this week, beginning a multi-week exercise focused on giving GMC leadership experience. Throughout the exercise, GMC cadets will have the opportunity to step into key leadership positions, including Cadet Wing Commander, Cadet Deputy Wing Commander, 15th Squadron Commander, and 16th Squadron Commander. These roles will challenge cadets to apply their leadership skills, work together as a team, and prepare the wing for the demands of active duty.

On Tuesday, half of the detachment completed a PFRA, continuing to build physical readiness and prepare for upcoming fitness assessments. Cadets also practiced transit procedures and completed a Warrior Knowledge quiz, reinforcing the knowledge, discipline, and skills needed to succeed as future Air Force officers.

As Operation Pacific Warden gets underway, cadets will continue putting their training into practice, developing as leaders, and strengthening their readiness for future challenges. 🦅

🏆 THREEPEAT CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Det 750 brought home another Penn Cup victory! Cadets competed in a variety of sporting events, including soccer, ultimate frisbee, and relay races, putting teamwork, determination, and competitive spirit to the test. Beyond the competition, Penn Cup was a great opportunity to build morale and strengthen relationships both within our detachment and with fellow cadets from across the region.

A huge thank you to Penn State AFROTC - Det 720 for hosting, and to Detachment 730 and Air Force ROTC Detachment 752 for joining us for a great day of competition!

Three years. Three championships. GO DET 750!

🦅 TW6 RECAP 🦅

Det 750 continued putting the skills and knowledge built throughout the first five weeks into practice, with a week focused on teamwork, building procedures, warrior knowledge, and preparation for what’s ahead.

Cadets completed their first long transit across campus, putting the skills they have been developing since the beginning of the semester to the test. From drill and formation to communication and accountability, the transit gave cadets an opportunity to apply their training in a new environment.

Cadets also learned building entry procedures, adding another important skill to their growing foundation of military knowledge and preparing them for future training and operations.

This week also included a GLP and Warrior Knowledge quiz, giving cadets another opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned and continue developing their leadership and knowledge throughout the semester.

Flight time gave cadets the chance to check in with their flight leadership, connect with their peers, and prepare for the upcoming PFA. With the first PFA of the semester approaching, flights focused on making sure cadets were ready to put their training and preparation to the test.

From the first long transit across campus to building entry procedures, knowledge checks, and PFA preparation, TW6 gave cadets another opportunity to put the foundation built over the first five weeks into action. 🦅

GMC cadets put their organizational knowledge to the test with an org chart quiz, reinforcing their understanding of Det 750’s structure and the roles within the detachment. Cadets also practiced guidon procedures, continuing to refine their drill skills and attention to detail.

Cadets prepared for uniform inspection, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, discipline, and pride in wearing the uniform.

TW5 also marked the first Icarus game of the semester, bringing cadets together for another opportunity to develop leadership skills and boost morale.

A special congratulations to Delta Flight on earning their pennant!

This past Saturday, Det 750 cadets came together to honor the service and sacrifice of American service members who were prisoners of war or remain missing in action. 🇺🇸

More than 81,000 American service members remain unaccounted for from past conflicts. The POW/MIA Run gave our cadets an opportunity to remember these service members, honor their sacrifices, and recognize the continued commitment to bringing them home.

Before beginning the run, cadets heard from Mr. Ralph Galati, a former POW and St. Joseph’s College AFROTC Distinguished Military Graduate. Mr. Galati was commissioned through St. Joseph’s AFROTC in 1970 and deployed to Southeast Asia in 1971. On February 16, 1972, he was forced to eject over North Vietnam and taken as a prisoner of war. After spending 406 days in captivity, he was released during Operation Homecoming on March 28, 1973.

Hearing Mr. Galati share his experience gave cadets a firsthand perspective on the meaning behind the POW/MIA remembrance and the service and sacrifice represented by the run.

Cadets then ran along the Schuylkill River Trail, finishing together at the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
