We wrapped up the inaugural Power Up Tour this past weekend in Philadelphia’s 5th Council District!

Here’s what we achieved together:

▸ Distributed 500 free laptops citywide, across Philadelphia’s 10 council districts

▸ Connected residents to support from digital navigators, affordable internet programs, and training to build their confidence in using technology

▸ Strengthened our commitment to digital equity, economic opportunity, and community empowerment across the city

A heartfelt thank you to the residents, City Council partners, community organizations, and volunteers who energized this tour. Together, we’re powering up Philly—and continuing the work to close the digital divide for communities across the city. 💻🔋

We are proud to recognize the inaugural SPARK Innovation Academy graduates! This first cohort dedicated nine weeks to developing practical digital and innovation skills that will directly enhance the services their organizations provide to Philadelphia residents.

Their commitment marks an exciting step toward a more connected and equitable future for our city.

If getting connected has felt out of reach, the Power Up Philly: Community Tech Expo is here to help. Eligible residents who arrive by 10 AM on Saturday, March 28, can receive a free laptop at Temple University’s Aramark STAR Complex from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Join digital skills training, get free tech support from Per Scholas Philadelphia, and see live demonstrations from national technology partners, including Dell , SAP , Comcast, Microsoft, and Lenovo. This is your opportunity—step into a supportive community, receive the devices you need, build your digital skills, and confidently take your place in the future of technology.

The City of Philadelphia’s Power Up Tour is opening doors to opportunity in the 7th Council District!

We just distributed 60 laptops to students. Next up? Building digital skills for the future. In partnership with Esperanza: Strengthening Hispanic Communities, our Digital Navigators are leading classes that help students unlock their potential and prepare for what’s next. These sessions will explore:
