When schools close and buildings sit vacant, communities feel it. Empty spaces can lead to illegal dumping, neglect, and disinvestment. Our member leader Melanie Silva explains the cycle of abandonment and dumping that affects schools in our city, and what impacts might come from the closures of 17 schools that the School District recently approved. Our neighborhoods deserve better -- it's time to put people over profits!

We can’t build power without truth. 215PA members joined Amy Goodman from for a screening + Q&A this week, grounding us in the role independent journalism plays in our movements.

When corporate media answers to billionaires and corporations, our stories get erased or distorted. Independent journalism makes sure our communities are seen, heard, and taken seriously. It documents the fight and helps us build it. Spaces like this remind us what we’re up against and what we’re fighting for.

Go see at the Bourse Theater before Thursday.

Members of 215 People’s Alliance have voted to strongly endorse Chris Rabb for Congress!

While 215 People’s Alliance organizes in Northeast Philly and Chris Rabb is not the congressional representative for our base, our members are clear on what’s at stake.

We’re endorsing him because the challenges we’re facing don’t stop at district lines: rising authoritarianism, attacks on immigrant communities, and the need to protect working people across Philadelphia and the Commonwealth.

Workers over billionaires isn’t a slogan, it’s a commitment. Sign the pledge, and on May 1st at 4 PM, we’re showing up at City Hall to demand a city that puts working people first.

HAPPENING TOMORROW! Northeast Philly is home to many immigrant families, and it is our responsibility to keep each other safe.

Every day, we see families torn apart and communities terrorized by ICE’s actions, many of which violate the law and our constitutional rights. One way we stand up for each other is by legally documenting and exposing ICE’s abuses, alerting our neighbors about danger, and informing people of their rights.

Join us April 7th at 6 PM in Mayfair for a community training focused on protecting our neighbors and strengthening collective safety. We will build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to defend our communities against ICE. The training covers our rights as people on US soil, the basics of bystander intervention, and steps you can take to prepare your workplace.

Space is limited. Location provided upon RSVP at training.iceoutphilly.org

Philly says ICE Out! Join us Monday April 13 from 10am - 5pm in City Hall room 400 for the ICE Out hearing and first Council vote!

Philadelphians want our city to be free from Trump’s tactics of deportation, fear, surveillance, and violence. The ICE Out legislation protects our immigrant neighbors and strengthens Philadelphia’s Welcoming City policies—no matter immigration status. Join us to demand that City Council votes YES on all seven pieces of the ICE Out legislation!

We didn’t voted for a king. We didn’t agreed to be ruled.

They’re centralizing power, ignoring the will of the people, and daring us to accept it. That’s how authoritarianism takes hold. Not in Philadelphia.

March 28, 12PM. Bustleton Fields.
