Being part of the Philadelphia Police Explorer Cadet Program means much more than simply becoming an Explorer. You become part of a law enforcement family.

It is a family built on respect, dedication, loyalty, honor, and a shared commitment to serving others. Even if you have never personally met an officer, you are still connected through the badge, the sacrifices made, and the brotherhood and sisterhood of law enforcement.

When one member of that family hurts, we all feel it. When one makes the ultimate sacrifice, we all mourn together.

Being an Explorer is not just about learning how to become a police officer. It is about understanding the true meaning of service, sacrifice, compassion, and standing together as one family.

Police Officer Shane Seiber, thank you for your dedicated service to the City of Philadelphia and to our great nation. Your commitment, courage, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Sir, you have served your city and your country with honor. You may now rest easy. Your brothers and sisters in blue have the watch from here.

Rest in peace, Officer Seiber. We will never forget your service or your sacrifice.

That's a Wrap! FBI National Academy Class #300! 🇺🇸🚔

Another successful tour is officially in the books! Members of FBI National Academy Class #300 were safely escorted throughout the City of Philadelphia and are now back on the road to Quantico, Virginia.

A special thank you to all of our Philadelphia Police Explorers, Officer Sprague, and Volunteer Associate Advisor Boris for their time, dedication, and assistance in making this tour a success.

Officer Sprague, a former Police Explorer who is now proudly serving as a Philadelphia Police Officer assigned to the 24th District, successfully led his first tour independently. Congratulations on a job well done!

We also recognize Volunteer Associate Advisor Boris, another former Police Explorer who has dedicated over eight years to supporting, mentoring, and assisting with the Explorer program.

It's especially rewarding to see former Explorers continuing to give back to the very program that helped shape their paths in law enforcement and community service.

Thank you to everyone involved for your continued commitment, professionalism, and dedication!

Another Successful Market Street Run for Blue! 💙🏃‍♂️

What an incredible day of teamwork, dedication, and community service!

Our Philadelphia Police Explorer Cadets, Advisors, and Parents Association were out in full force supporting the annual Market Street Run for Blue!

Our team worked hard throughout the event, assisting with setup, breakdown, and providing support along the race route to help ensure another successful event.

But the day didn't end there!

Following the run, half of our group continued their community service by assisting with the FBI National Academy Class #300, where our Explorers had the opportunity to welcome guests, guide them around Philadelphia, and showcase our great city.

Two major events, one incredible team!

These young men and women continue to demonstrate what dedication, teamwork, leadership, and community service are all about. They volunteer countless hours of their personal time to support our city, its residents, and those who visit.

A special thank you to our Explorers, Advisors, and Parents Association for your continued commitment and hard work. Your efforts do not go unnoticed!

This is what the Philadelphia Police Explorer Cadet Program is all about: developing tomorrow's leaders while making a difference in our communities today.

Meet Officer Daricnell Abreu from our safety patrol team, on her path to becoming a detective with the Philadelphia Police Department. Through the Community Oriented Public Safety (COPS) program, she gains valuable experience from running dispatch to patrolling .

💙🖤 Honoring the Life and Sacrifice of Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber 🖤💙

Today, our Philadelphia Police Explorer Cadets experienced a heartbreaking reality of law enforcement—one that serves as a powerful reminder of the dangers, sacrifices, and ultimate commitment that come with wearing the badge.

Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber, 40, a 10-year veteran of the department, tragically lost his life after being shot three times in the line of duty.

As our Explorer Cadets rendered their final salute to Officer Seiber, they witnessed firsthand the true meaning of honor, courage, sacrifice, and the brotherhood and sisterhood of law enforcement.

While we hope our young Explorers never have to experience such a tragedy, today served as a solemn reminder that the oath to protect and serve comes with tremendous responsibility and, at times, the ultimate sacrifice.

Officer Shane Seiber, thank you, sir, for your 10 years of dedicated service to the City of Philadelphia and its residents. Your courage, commitment, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to Officer Seiber's family, friends, fellow officers, and the entire Philadelphia Police Department during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Officer Seiber. We have the watch from here. 💙🖤

Today, our Philadelphia Police Explorer Cadets once again had the opportunity to assist at PA State Rep. Martina White -Kids Festival.

Our Explorer Cadets have proudly helped with this event in the past and were happy to return once again, supporting event operations, engaging with families, and helping contribute to a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for everyone in attendance.

Opportunities like these allow our cadets to continue developing valuable leadership, teamwork, and community-service skills while giving back to the communities they serve.

Thank you to PA State Representative Martina White and everyone involved for once again welcoming our Explorer Cadets and allowing them to be part of another successful community event!

Throughout the FIFA events held in Philadelphia, our Explorer Cadets have been working alongside Philadelphia Police officers each day to support those serving on the front lines.

Our Explorers have proudly assisted in providing refreshments, snacks, and hydration to our first responders, along with the dedicated members of the Philadelphia Second Alarmers , helping ensure everyone remains fueled and ready throughout their long shifts.

We are incredibly proud of our Explorers for their commitment, professionalism, and willingness to serve the community. Their dedication reflects the true spirit of volunteerism and teamwork while supporting the men and women who work tirelessly to keep Philadelphia safe during these large-scale events.

Thank you to all of our first responders and the Philadelphia Second Alarmers for your continued service, sacrifice, and dedication to the City of Philadelphia.

Thank You for Your Support!

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who came out and supported our Explorer Program. Your support helps provide valuable opportunities, training, and experiences for our young men and women.

A special thank you goes out to our Parents association President, Nichole Kemmerer, as well as the officers from the 15th District, our Associate Advisors, and the many volunteers who worked behind the scenes to help make this event possible. Your dedication and commitment are greatly appreciated.
