Co-Op Paving Project – Schedule Update
The Town of Phillipsburg's Co-Op Paving Project is scheduled to resume on Monday, October 19, 2026. Crews will begin paving sections that have already been milled, while also continuing milling operations in additional areas as part of the ongoing project.

IMPORTANT PARKING NOTICE
Please be advised that No Parking signs may be posted before or remain in place after the actual scheduled work dates. Residents should pay close attention to the dates listed below and refrain from parking on the affected streets on their scheduled workdays.
No Parking restrictions will be in effect Monday through Friday, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, on the days your street is scheduled for work. Please see the schedule below.

All dates are for October 2026 and are subject to change due to weather, equipment availability, or unforeseen conditions.

Additional Roadwork & Utility Projects Throughout Town

In addition to the paving schedule, residents should be aware of several other projects taking place throughout Phillipsburg:

Underground Utilities / EPA Project – Hill Street (Pursel Street to Congress Street): Stormwater pipe and structure replacement

Various Roads Throughout Town: Roadway line striping.

Center Street and Green Street: ADA curb ramp installation.

Rose Street: Water service line installation.

Mercer Street: Power station work.

🚗 Please use caution when traveling through active work zones, follow posted signs, and allow extra travel time. Temporary traffic restrictions and delays may occur as these projects progress.

🏅 HOMETOWN HEROES RECOGNIZED 🏅

Yesterday, Phillipsburg Police Officer Liam Slack and Sergeant Nicholas Walsh were formally honored as Hometown Heroes during an award presentation recognizing their courageous actions during a medical emergency involving an injured child in September.

Their quick thinking, bravery, and dedication to protecting others are a reflection of the commitment our officers bring to the community each day.

We would like to thank Congressman Tom Kean for recognizing these officers and their actions and extend our congratulations to Officer Slack and Sergeant Walsh on this well-deserved honor.

Congratulations, gentlemen! We are proud to have you representing the Phillipsburg Police Department! 👏🚔

🚧🚔 BREAKING NEWS: PHILLIPSBURG IS GETTING A FACELIFT! 🚔🚧

Good news, Phillipsburg! Some of our roads are finally getting the spa treatment they desperately deserve. 🛣️✨

Bad news? Much like any good makeover, things are going to get a little ugly before they get pretty. 😂

Over the next several days, crews will be paving several streets throughout town. This means ROAD CLOSURES, PARKING RESTRICTIONS, and the temporary disappearance of your favorite parking spot.

We understand this may cause some frustration, so we'd like to offer a few friendly reminders:

🚗 "But I always park here!" — We know. So does everyone else. Unfortunately, the paving equipment doesn't care about tradition.

🚧 "I just need to get through!" — We admire your determination, but those orange cones aren't a suggestion.

🚙 "Can I move the barricade?" — Absolutely not. We promise the road isn't closed just to test your problem-solving skills.

🚔 "Where am I supposed to park?" — Great question! Somewhere that isn't posted NO PARKING would be an excellent start.

🚨 "But I'll only be five minutes!" — Famous last words before meeting our friends from the towing company.

In all seriousness, we ask everyone to be patient, follow posted signs, and give the hardworking paving crews plenty of room to do their jobs.

We promise the temporary inconvenience will be worth it when you're cruising down a freshly paved road without feeling like you need a chiropractor appointment.

👊 FIST BUMP FRIDAY! 🚔

Fist Bump Friday made a special stop at ABC Playschool this morning!

There’s no better way to start a Friday than with smiling faces, laughter, and plenty of fist bumps from our youngest community members!

Our goal is simple: create lasting connections, build trust, and show our youngest residents that police officers are their friends and are always here to help.

A huge thank you to ABC Playschool for welcoming us this morning! We had just as much fun as the kids did! And a special thank you for the “Survival Kit for Law Enforcement Officers” goody bags provided for our officers!
