NTAG Phoenix recruiter MM2 Gabriel Cacayuran joined family and friends in celebrating the 100th birthday of Leonard Aaron Schwartz, a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Schwartz served as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate Second Class and survived the sinking of the USS St. Lo. A century of life marked by resilience, service, and commitment to country.

Fair Winds and Following Seas to FT1 Brian Ojeda and EN1 Estephany Padilla completed their tour at NTAG Phoenix. FT1 Ojeda was also awarded The Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal(MOVSM) for his 120 volunteering hours.Thank you both for your dedication and hard work!

NTAG Phoenix marked the 133rd birthday of the United States Navy Chief Petty Officer with a cake cutting ceremony at headquarters. For 133 years, Chiefs have led from the deckplates, mentoring Sailors and setting the standard across the fleet.

Happy Birthday, Chiefs.

FCA1 Angel GermanHerrera visited his alma mater Franklin Police and Fire High School to demonstrate how the U.S. Navy handles shipboard firefighting. Students stepped into the role of Sailors during a damage control drill, applying the firefighting skills they are learning in class to a Navy scenario.
