Meet Gibson and Cooper! These good boys are part of Phoenix Police Department . Gibson used to help Detective Jamie Brown provide a safe space when she interviewed children. Now, Gibson and fellow K9 Cooper spend most of their days providing comfort to employees. I can personally vouch for their excellent work performance!

As the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks approaches, I am honored to lead City of Phoenix, AZ USA commemoration.
Members of Arizona Task Force 1, including Phoenix Fire Department Phoenix Police Department canines and their handlers, along with doctors, responded to Ground Zero, where they conducted search, rescue, and recovery operations in smoldering debris and massive rubble.
We have a responsibility to honor those we lost, recognize the courage of those who served, and ensure future generations understand the impact of that day.
I am grateful to Mayor Kate Gallego for appointing me to handle such sacred work. I look forward to ensuring our commemoration is shaped by the voices of our residents, including Phoenix first responders and young people who were not yet born on September 11, 2001.
