With some "creative" driving I was finally able to get to Sunset Pointe for sunset.

Mask Up Arizona!!

Todays travels brings us to Jerome Arizona. Once a mining town before its decline in the 1950's it is now a collection of shops and restaurants. Also home of the Jerome Grand Hotel. Reported to be one of the most haunted places in Arizona. If you are in to that sort of thing. Very popular tourist stop which is why I could only post pics like this. I could not find any parking spots lol. As you can see from some of the pics, the drive up here from Prescott is a fun winding road. Not for those the get car sick or afraid of heights.

Today's adventure took me back up the hill to Dewey. I decided on my way back, after passing this place for the thousandth time in the 40 years I have lived here, to finally stop and check out Rock Springs Cafe. I didn't have a whole lot of time to explore everything but of course had time to finally try the pie. 😋

My ongoing exploration of Arizona brought me to Yarnell today. Completely unaware of the date, I arrived here on the 7th Anniversary of the date the Yarnell Hill fire started which eventually took the lives of the the brave firefighters "Hotshots" as they were called the next day. Unfortunately I am not dressed for, nor in the condition to make the hike to the actual memorial, but will certainly be back in the fall. To all the firefighters and "Hotshots" currently battling the fires around the state and the country..Please stay safe and a big THANK YOU for what you do.
