About Us

The Consular Corps of Arizona (CCAZ) is a 501.c3 non-profit organization established in 1961 to create a space for both career and honorary consuls to exchange information and ideas, perform official duties for their respective countries, and educate and inform the Arizona public about their countries, cultures, and their work. Today, the CCAZ has 35 consulates, 3 career and 32 honorary. Career consuls are full time employees of their governments and nationals of their countries. Honorary consuls are not required to be nationals of the country they represent, and are generally appointed to provide consular services in areas not covered by a career consul. They receive no remuneration for their services. Both career and honorary consuls are accredited and issued official credentials by the United States Department of State.

The mission of the CCAZ is to provide a forum for the accredited consuls in Arizona by supporting fellow Consuls and Consulates in their respective diplomatic outreach. By building relationships with governments and communities, they foster business, educational, and cultural endeavors.

The Consular Corps of Arizona strives to be the state's leading international organization for its service to and engagement in the community. All activities are conducted in conjunction with the goals of the nations represented by its members.
