🌟Exciting news!🌟 The student senate at Franklin Pierce University in Goodyear, Arizona is hosting our first ever water bottle drive to celebrate the start of the school year! Kaylee Bird (left), a second-year physician assistant student at Franklin Pierce, helped organize the event, which has already garnered over 50 insulated water bottles for our cause. We are excited to see the results of this drive!

If you’ve ever been near a busy road in the middle of summer in Phoenix, you know how hot it gets.🥵 The combination of vehicles emitting hot exhaust and black asphalt absorbing atmospheric heat can lead to an increase in temperature by 40-60°F! ☀️🚗 With daily average temperatures already near 110°F, these conditions can become fatal.

People suffering from unsheltered homelessness are concentrated in urban areas, where highways and major roads take up a large percentage of space. They unable to escape this rising heat, with little access to air conditioning or shade. This is a huge reason we work to provide heat relief and hydration.
