🌟 ACBVI Adventures: Reaching New Heights! 🌟
Our community took on an exciting challenge—indoor rock climbing! With harnesses strapped in and encouragement all around, our clients who are blind and visually impaired showed that determination knows no limits.
From the first step on the wall to the cheers echoing across the gym, this day wasn’t just about climbing—it was about confidence, teamwork, and proving that nothing can hold you back from adventure. 💪🧗
At ACBVI, we believe every experience is an opportunity to grow stronger, braver, and more connected. Thank you to our amazing volunteers and partners who make these unforgettable moments possible.
👉 Together, we rise. Together, we climb.

The Next Generation of Changemakers! At the start of the summer, three brothers came up with an idea during bedtime stories — they wanted to lead their very own service project to help people who are blind or visually impaired. They spent the week making flyers, going door-to-door to share their mission (even their 5-year-old confidently told the story!), and this morning they set up their lemonade stand. Every time a neighbor stopped, they poured lemonade and explained that all proceeds were going to ACBVI. The community responded with incredible generosity. We are so inspired by their kindness, courage, and determination. Thank you for proving that no matter your age, you can make a difference! Want to support ACBVI and help change lives? You can host your own fundraiser, make a gift, or get involved today! https://donate.acbvi.org

Mission in Action: Chef Thomas Serves More Than Meals
At ACBVI, food means more than nourishment—it’s dignity, connection, and choice. Executive Chef Thomas, inspired by a childhood where food was sometimes scarce, now prepares hundreds of nutritious meals each week for people who are blind, visually impaired, DeafBlind, or living with combined vision and hearing loss.
From carefully plating meals to building bonds with clients, Thomas puts love and creativity into every dish—even as rising costs and shrinking donations make it harder to provide fresh, healthy options. Our summer hunger campaign will help him offer balanced, personalized meals and more variety to those who need it most.
💛 Real People. Real Impact. Made Possible by You.

What’s for dinner? For many of our clients, that answer isn’t guaranteed.
At ACBVI, we serve more than just meals—we serve dignity, independence, and nourishment to adults who are blind or visually impaired. But with food costs rising and donations falling, our critical meal program is at risk.

At ACBVI, we served over 17,000 free meals last year to people who are blind, visually impaired, or DeafBlind. For many, these meals are a lifeline—fueling not just their bodies, but their path to independence.
Food donations are down. Costs are up. We need your help to keep this going. Visit us here to learn more- https://acbvi.org/hungry_2025.php

Together on the Water, stronger as a Team!
ACBVI Adventures presented by BOK Financial brought our clients and volunteers to beautiful Lake Mary for a day of kayaking, camaraderie, and connection. With ACBVI clients and volunteers all working together the day was filled with laughter, resilience, and a whole lot of sunscreen. Activities like these empower our community to explore adventures with confidence and joy- no barriers, just possibilities. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this day unforgettable! You may notice an ASL interpreter in some of the photos. ACBVI is proud to serve individuals who are DeafBlind or live with combined vision and hearing loss. Inclusion means ensuring everyone has the support they need to participate fully—and that’s what this day was all about.
