Thank you, Representative Teresa Martinez, for getting HB2370 signed into law. This is a real win for school safety in Arizona.

Weapons detection systems are only as effective as they are reliable. HB2370 strengthens accountability around how these systems are managed β€” making sure they work the way they're designed to work, protecting our kids.

Superintendent Boggs is grateful for leadership that puts student safety first. Thank you, Representative Martinez! πŸ‘

πŸ’§ DID YOU KNOW? πŸ’§

Arizona has a law to help prevent child drownings β€” and free swim lessons are available across the Valley this summer! β˜€οΈ

House Bill 2019 (A.R.S. Β§ 15-249.19) took effect for the 2025-2026 school year. It requires every Arizona school district and charter school to share a list of certified swimming and water safety programs with families. Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death for young children β€” and learning to swim is one of the best ways to prevent it.

Right now, Salt River Project and aquatic centers across the Valley are offering thousands of FREE swim lessons for adults and children as young as 6 months old. To get started, just contact a participating center and mention the "SRP scholarship":
