Current restrictions on horses entering Arizona are below.

- CVI's (Health Certificates) are only valid for 5 days for horses coming from Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, New Mexico* and Colorado*.
- Extended ECVI's are currently not being accepted to enter Arizona.
- A Negative Coggins within 12 months is still required.
- Arizona will also require two statements that the veterinarians will have to write on the CVI's.

**ATTENTION** Confirmation of Vesicular Stomatitis in Cochise County, AZ. Please see attached link for more details.

**PLEASE NOTE, ARIZONA IS NOT SHUTDOWN FOR EQUINE BEING IMPORTED INTO ARIZONA. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY REMAIN THE SAME, 30 DAY CVI AND A NEGATIVE COGGINS TEST WITHIN 12 MONTHS.**

AZDA's State Veterinarian's Office and Emergency Management participated in Yavapai County Emergency Expo last Friday, September 19th to collaborate and build stronger relationships with our other emergency management partners. Other important partners included: Az. Dept. of Forestry and Fire Management, United States Department of Agriculture - Forest Service, Yavapai County Emegency Management, Equine Emergency Evacuation (EEE), Large Animal Sheltering and Emergency Response (LASER) and several other emergency management groups. AZDA's team had our emergency management command and response traile set up and used the opportunity to discuss and educate on New World Screwworm that is impacting livestock in Mexico and poses a serious threat to the U.S..

Our ability to take credit cards over the phone and our online self inspection system and online seasonal pass system will be down for the remainder of the day due to updates from our IT department. The updates will include a 2.2% or $2.00 card fee (whichever is greater) that will be additionally collected via online and over the phone when a card is used.
