Some guests got lost looking for the Rental Car Center return until an airport employee helped lead the way.
The guests had no access to GPS, so they got lost shortly after leaving the airport proper. They finally found Jennifer B., an Aviation Department supervisor, who was very helpful. She understood their confusion and called for help to guide them to the rental car parking garage.
ā€œI cannot sing her praises enough,ā€ said the customer. ā€œIt was only thanks to Jennifer, and the gentleman who guided us that we didn't stop the car and sit in it screaming and crying.ā€
Thank you and your team, Jennifer, for showing compassion to a distressed customer. She was recognized by our Phoenix Sky Harbor On the FLY team (F = Friendly. L = Let me help. Y = You.)

A vendor employee responsible for helping passengers get through security stepped in to assist when one had a medical emergency.
The passenger was riding an escalator up in Terminal 3 when he fell backwards. Luckily for him, CLEAR employee Michael P. jumped into action, and alerted people he was stopping the escalator. He then redirected passengers to the elevators.
ā€œHe reacted so quickly and appropriately, I wanted to highlight this event and the good action and effort he displayed,ā€ said the customer who nominated him for recognition.
ā€œI’m hoping you can recognize him in some way for being a good human and helping those folks stuck in a precarious, helpless, and dangerous position.ā€
We can and we did by giving Michael our Phoenix Sky Harbor On the FLY award (F = Friendly. L = Let me help. Y = You.)

As part of this project, the FAA has created the Phoenix Airspace Noise Mapping Tool, which provides residents with a resource to enter their address and see what their current noise level is compared to anticipated noise with the implementation of proposed new procedures.
This short video explains how to use it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xv4JbESY83s

An airport employee was in the right place to assist some travelers whose car ran out of juice.
The guest’s car ran out of electrical charge, and the weather was very hot. On top of that, they had two young boys and an elderly parent with them.
David F., an operations assistant with the Aviation Department, worked diligently with the guest’s towing company and guided them through the situation.
ā€œDavid was understanding, compassionate, and extremely helpful,ā€ said the customer. ā€œKudos to you for hiring such an awesome team member.ā€
We’re always pleased to hear a visitor sing the praises of an airport employee, and for upholding our customer service mission, David has been recognized by Phoenix Sky Harbor’s On the FLY team (F = Friendly. L = Let me help. Y = You.)
