💜 Meet "Sylvia's Kids" — one of the most beautiful stories in our Walk to End Alzheimer's family.
Since 2012, this incredible team of about 16 family members — spread all across the United States — gather every single year in Prescott to walk together, remember together, and raise thousands of dollars for the Alzheimer's Association.
Their team lead, Patty Bullington, travels all the way from Oakland, California with her husband to be here. Why Prescott? Because this town held a special place in her mother Sylvia's heart. And after Alzheimer's took Sylvia from them, this walk became their way of keeping her close.
What started as an act of grief became an act of love. And that love has shown up — year after year, mile after mile — in the form of this family choosing to come home to Prescott together.
Thank you, Sylvia's Kids. You remind us every year why we walk. 💜

Thank you to ALL of our advocates in Arizona and Nevada who turned Capitol Hill purple this week. Because of your advocacy, the fight to is stronger. And though our work is far from done, we have so much to be proud of.

As our advocates meet with policymakers on Capitol Hill today, YOU can strengthen their message! Ask Congress to pass the bipartisan Alzheimer’s Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act. Together we can ensure early Alzheimer’s detection and diagnosis is the standard of care. bit.ly/4kRjDXU

The Welcome to Las Vegas sign is glowing purple in recognition of Alzheimer’s & Brain Health Awareness Month.
Commissioner Justin Jones joined community leaders, advocates and families yesterday to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and support those impacted by it across Southern Nevada.
Purple is the official color of the Alzheimer’s movement and serves as a symbol of hope, awareness and support for the thousands of individuals and families navigating this disease.
Thank you to our Alzheimer’s Association volunteers, Hector Fernandez, IGT, our community partners and everyone who joined us as we shined a light on the importance of brain health and Alzheimer’s awareness.

Strong leadership drives meaningful change. We’re proud to announce Hector Fernandez (IGT) and Sandra Douglass Morgan (Las Vegas Raiders) as co-chairs of the 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s® in Las Vegas.
Through the “One Million for Memory” campaign, they’re rallying the community to raise $1 million for Alzheimer’s care, research and support. More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s—this is our moment to act.
