Maricopa County Assessor's Office The Assessor's Office is the fourth largest assessment jurisdiction in North America.

The Maricopa County Assessor's Office, led by Assessor Eddie Cook, locates, identifies ownership and usage and annually notices & administers 1.8 million real & personal property parcels/accounts with a value of more than a trillion dollars. The Maricopa County Assessor's Office is a constitutionally based office within Arizona that is responsible for noticing and valuing up to 1.8 million real and personal property accounts. In Arizona, the Assessor's Office is responsible for valuing all property for Ad Valorem (according to value) taxation. The property taxes that utilize our underlying values are then used to fund critical government functions, from police and fire districts, to schools and flood control districts.
