A marginal risk for severe weather is in place southwestern and central Arizona, today. 65 MPH winds and damaging hail, along with flash flooding will be possible today. Prime time for severe activity will be in the late afternoon into mid-evening.

Three tornadoes were reported yesterday morning as a cold front passed through. The Paradise Valley tornado was an estimated EF1 while the others in Gilbert and Queen Creek were an estimated EF0. Damage was reported with all 3 locations. These three tornadoes occurred within a 1 hour time span.
Arizona averages 4 tornadoes per year.
