In this Advocacy Alliance Update, we break down what’s happening at the State Capitol and why protecting GME funding matters.

Arizona is already facing a serious healthcare workforce shortage. Sweeping these funds now would make it even harder to train and retain the providers our communities depend on.

Lawmakers are finalizing the state budget, and every dollar is under scrutiny. Legislators need to hear directly from you about why this funding cannot be lost.

Your voice matters. Reach out to your state lawmakers and tell them to protect GME funding now.

The 340B program helps Community Health Centers provide affordable medications to the people who need them most.

Through this program, health centers can purchase medications at a discount from pharmaceutical companies. Those savings don’t come from taxpayers—they come from drug manufacturer profits and are reinvested directly into patient care. That means lower costs for patients and stronger community health services.

But now, pharmaceutical companies are trying to limit where patients can fill their prescriptions. Instead of picking them up at a trusted neighborhood pharmacy, patients may need to travel farther to a single designated location.

For many people, especially seniors, families, and patients managing chronic conditions, that extra barrier can make it harder to access the medications they rely on.

The 340B program helps keep care local and supports the pharmacies patients know and trust. Take five minutes today to contact your elected officials and tell them to protect 340B contract retail pharmacies and the patients who depend on them.
