The past 5 days the Dodie Londen Excellence in Public Service Series Class of 2026 has been in Washington, DC for the final installment of the 8 month long program. The subject: Federal Government and Politics.

To say it was a busy week would be an understatement with 14-16 hr. days. Seeing for themselves the workings of government, learning from the best of the best about every aspect of politics, networking and making new contacts with major media leaders, content developers, policy advisors, and influencers in all things politics and government - while growing in their capacity to be leaders.

Here’s a little bit of what they experienced.

Monday - private tour of George Washington’s Mt. Vernon with dinner on the grounds. Followed by a hosted private wine tasting and conversation on current events at Morton’s.

Tuesday- State Training Day at the US Capitol followed by a hosted networking dinner at Founding Father’s on the waterfront.

Wednesday- Federal Training Day, to include after hours tour of the US Capitol, followed by a networking dinner at Old Ebbitt Grill.

Thursday- meetings with each member of our Republican delegation in their offices.

Applications for the class of 2027 will be posted on June 1, with the deadline to apply on July 31, 2026.

The Class of 2026 completed their last Arizona based session in Yuma on Friday.

Just when you think you’ve covered it all… it’s time to take a deep dive into women in politics and leadership. This session evaluated data, science, historical behavior, and polling on issues relative to women in elected office, politics, and leadership in general. Not to mention, the secret language of men and women.

Our networking dinner on Thursday was filled with elected officials, local radio personalities, Yuma County GOP leaders and the Arizona House Majority Leader Michael Carbone. The River City Grill was exceptional!

Friday was another “firehose” of information with great discussions. Next up- Washington, DC in May!

Yesterday and today were the December session in Prescott for the Dodie Londen Excellence in Public Service Series Class of 2026.

Thursday evening’s Networking Dinner at the Palace Restaurant, a Prescott icon, was perfect. A special thank you to Senator Steve Pierce for his generosity and support.

Friday was a full day of non-stop information. We started with Campaigns 101, led by John Peschong of Meridian Pacific, who filled days worth of information into 6 hours! From strategy and messaging, to grassroots development and data, John brought decades of experience that made this class both practical and encouraging.

We finished the day with a review of the book, “The Blueprint: How the Democrats Won Colorado”, with an evaluation of lessons learned for Arizona.

Next month… Communications!
