Country Place Elementary School Country Place Elementary School - Littleton Elementary School District #65

In 1971, the United States Congress recognized Mustangs as “living symbols of the historic and pioneer spirit of the West, which continue to contribute to the diversity of life forms within the nation and enrich the lives of the American people.” As such, the Mustang is a fitting mascot to represent the Country Place students and community. Serving the city of Tolleson, Arizona, founded in 1912, Country Place embraces the Tolleson motto: “Honoring our past, positioning our future.” Our students are a link to our rich heritage and the spirit of the West. Through education, we are positioning our most valuable treasure, our children, for a bright future. Working together as parents, educators, and community leaders toward that common goal, our lives and our community continue to be enriched as we look forward to Tolleson’s next 100 years.

Our Kinder kiddos celebrated their first-ever Awards Assembly, and we couldn’t be prouder!

It was such a joy to see their little faces light up as they were recognized for their hard work, growth, and accomplishments. From learning new skills to showing kindness and perseverance, these little learners have so much to celebrate!

We are so proud of each and every one of them and can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll continue to do!

Congratulations, Kindergarten! Keep shining bright mini Mustangs 💛🖤💛

We are excited to share with you that our Country Place community will be celebrating Unity Day on Wednesday, October 21st this year.

Unity Day is an annual event occurring during National Bullying Prevention Month in October that promotes joining together to create healthier communities through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. It was started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011 and is now celebrated around the world. Mustangs will participate in classroom activities to learn about Unity Day and the importance of kindness, acceptance, inclusion, and bullying prevention.

We hope you’ll take this opportunity to talk to your children about bullying prevention and all the positive
things we can do to make healthier communities. We look forward to seeing our mustangs wearing Orange and to stand together for kindness and inclusion. For more information on the history of Unity Day and its impact, please go to: https://www.pacer.org/bullying/nbpm/unity-day/

Thank you! 🧡

Mr Loveless and our band students were invited to join La Jolla high school band during a football game, and we couldn’t be more proud! ❤️💛

This is such a wonderful experience for them to learn from older musicians, build confidence, and be part of the excitement and tradition of Friday night football.

A big thank-you to La Jolla for welcoming our students and giving them this special opportunity! We love seeing our young musicians grow, make memories, and share their love of music!

🌟 NJHS Leadership in Action!

Our National Junior Honor Society had a great meeting today! Students elected their officers for the year:

President: Marian
Vice President: Pedro
Secretary: Analeena
Treasurer: Gianah

We also began discussing Ruby Bridges Day and our School Participatory Budgeting work focused on making Country Place an even better place for all students.

Up next, our NJHS Steering Committee will begin the work of gathering student ideas and helping move this project forward. We’re excited to see our students lead, listen, and serve!

Apple Day in Kindergarten!

Our kindergarteners had so much fun celebrating all things apples! They enjoyed making cereal necklaces, painting, taste-testing different foods, creating fun arts and crafts, and, of course, apple painting!

It was a fun-filled day of learning, creating, exploring, and enjoying some delicious apple-themed activities!
