The Phoenix Legacy Foundation Donates $2,000 to Helping Hands of Freedom.

At the Southwest Veterans Chamber of Commerce networking luncheon on September 23, 2025, the Phoenix Legacy Foundation proudly presented a $2,000 donation to Helping Hands of Freedom.

This contribution will directly support Helping Hands of Freedom’s mission to provide programs and resources that assist military children and families facing hardship due to loss, deployment, or injury.

The Phoenix Legacy Foundation remains committed to strengthening our community and honoring those who serve.

Today is Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Day. Do you tend to think most Veterans have PTSD?

If you do, you are misinformed. The National Center for PTSD reports that PTSD varies by era of conflict:
* Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans: About 20%.
* Gulf War (Desert Storm): About 12%
* Vietnam War: About 30% have had PTSD sometime in their lifetime.
