The future of semiconductors is taking shape, and Phoenix is at the center of it!

I joined more than 1,000 decision-makers at the SEMICON West CEO Summit to share how Phoenix is driving the next generation of innovation, advanced manufacturing, and semiconductor leadership.

Starting in late March 2027, Phoenix becomes the new home of SEMICON West, and I look forward to welcoming the world’s semiconductor leaders to see all that’s being built in Phoenix!

I’m incredibly honored to receive the Jon W. McGarity Arizona Bioscience Leader of the Year award.

When my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, bioscience became deeply personal to me and a major part of my policy platform. I believe that families shouldn’t have to travel out of state for the best care. That’s why I’m so proud of our investments in Phoenix’s rapidly growing bioscience core, including ASU Health and the new University of Arizona Medical Innovations Building, where we added the final beam just last week.

I’m grateful to my Council colleagues, our City team, and the researchers, clinicians and entrepreneurs helping advance healthcare and create new possibilities for patients and families.

Pope Leo XIV is recovering at a Rome hospital after a “successful” surgery to remove part of his right lung which was found to have a cancerous growth, according to a statement from the Vatican.

Happy Double Ten Day! 🇹🇼

Phoenix and Taipei have been Sister Cities for decades, and that friendship continues to grow through stronger connections in business, technology, healthcare, and more.

Last weekend, I joined and members of our community at ASU’s West Valley campus for the largest Double Ten Day event in North America. We enjoyed an incredible drone show. I was proud to issue a proclamation recognizing Double Ten Day and the lasting friendship between Phoenix and Taiwan.
