Maricopa Party Greens were busy at work this Friday! We started this morning by joining the peaceful protest of 👎🏻👎🏼👎🏽👎🏾👎🏿 at ASU’s Tempe Campus.

🙏 It was brilliant seeing so many communities & organization coming together to rebuke the bigoted behavior of ASU College Republicans. Thank you to & many others for organizing such a powerful show of solidarity ✊

💔 Many of our Maricopa Greens & Greens once called Arizona State University a home, it is shameful yet not surprising that & ASU admin would allow such hateful rhetoric on their campus.

📰 Our co-chair was even interviewed by KJZZ Phoenix, saying he “hopes the university sees the reaction from the student body and learns to avoid allowing promotion of messages like CRU’s on campus.”

❤️‍🔥 Our very own chairwoman also joined in solidarity with for their ‘Stop the Separation’ Rally outside of the Arizona Capitol in downtown Phoenix, after starting the morning at the ASU protest ✊

🙏 The resistance movement is very alive, & we’re especially proud to be a part of the for standing against the past & current administration’s alarming disposition for deportations.

❌ It is wrong to criminalize people whose only ‘crime’ was fleeing violence & poverty caused largely by the policies of the United States government. Regardless of who is in office.

Democrats are campaigning on "saving democracy" while they try to sue third parties off the ballot, as they're doing in Nevada. Greens got more than enough signatures to qualify in Nevada, but suing them ties up a small party's finances, since grass roots parties aren't flush with cash.

In New York State, I may not be able to vote for Stein because former governor Cuomo tripled the amount of signatures needed to 45,000, and Jill only got 42,000. In addition, the Dems' Voting Rights Act, allegedly meant to help minority voters, also sought to shaft the Green Party's ballot access.

You don't have to support or like the Green Party, as I'm sure most don't. But you should support fair elections, or you aren't saving democracy. From Dems' unelected super delegates, who are often former politicians and lobbyists, to cheating Bernie Sanders in 2016, you can't make the case that Dems are the saving democracy. Or even interested in it. They're shafting progressive parties and progressive candidates within their own party so that there is no left alternative. Only center-right Biden and right-wing Trump.

Please note that Dems never pull these stunts with more conservative 3rd parties like libertarians. Only with progressives. And when you're vs progressives, you're vs progress itself. If you're anti-progress and are fine with the way things are now, just admit it. But in 2020's campaign, Biden promised wealthy donors that "nothing would fundamentally change" if he were elected. If you're scared by Trump being a dictator, Project 2025, etc, and you see the only way to stop Trump is with Biden, I get it. (Though polls don't look good for Biden in crucial swing states.)

But you can't possibly claim you're fighting for LGBT rights, against systemic racism or for a healthy or peaceful planet. Supporting the "Nothing will fundamentally change" guy is literally saying "I'm fine with things exactly as they are now." That's exactly where Democrat want you--so scared of Trump that you make no demands of Dems, as they continue to veer rightward. On Biden's website, no platform/policies are even mentioned. Just "America is back." --Joe. Back at what? War? 06/16/2024
