At the Department of Liquor Licenses and Control (DLLC), we share the Governor’s unwavering commitment to statewide preparedness and readiness. When the unexpected strikes, we don’t just watch from the sidelines—we work hand-in-hand with our partners at DFFM and DEMA to ensure Arizona remains resilient. Our collaboration is built on the belief that a quick response during a wildfire is just as vital as the support provided in its aftermath.

Following the devastation of the Dragon-Bravo wildfire, we issued an Industry Advisory titled "Supporting the Economic Recovery of Northern Arizona," promising to eliminate red tape so local businesses could focus on rebuilding. We are thrilled to stay true to our word; yesterday, we officially reactivated the liquor license for the North Rim Lodge General Store, waiving all fees incurred during their closure.

While this reactivation is one small step, it marks a significant milestone in the community’s journey back to normalcy. From proactive planning to economic relief, the DLLC is honored to stand with our sister agencies and our local partners. We are proud to see recovery taking root and are excited to welcome the North Rim back to business!

During Alcohol Awareness Month, we proudly launched the first statewide campaign promoting sober proms and graduations🎓✨

Coordinated by our Education and Prevention Unit, this initiative brought together substance abuse coalitions, community organizations, school programs, and School Resource Officers to support safe, alcohol-free celebrations for students through educational and engaging activities. Innovative approaches by the participating agencies were effectively utilized to enhance outreach and reinforce key prevention messages. These activities stood out for their originality and ability to connect with participants in a meaningful way.

With funding support from the Beverage Alcohol Community Information Council (BACIC), we reached nearly 15,000 students in eight counties across the state—empowering young people to make informed, healthy choices.

Thank you to Arizona Drug Demand Reduction Outreach, Phoenix Children’s and the Arizona School Resource Officers Association for their valued partnership and support of these important efforts.

During this year’s festival (April 9–12), our team maintained a strong presence while transitioning to a fully paperless workflow, making operations more efficient than ever.

Huge shoutout to the sergeant and agents from our Tucson office for their dedication and preparation in helping ensure a safe environment for everyone. 🤠
