Arizona Democratic Party Resolution to Immediately Resume Unimpeded Humanitarian Aid Safely to Civilians in Gaza
WHEREAS the images of starving children and the killings of Palestinian civilians lined up to receive humanitarian aid in Gaza have horrified the world.
WHEREAS more than 110 international aid organizations and human rights groups signed a letter on July 23, blaming Israeli restrictions on aid and massacres at distribution sites for creating
“chaos, starvation, and death” in Gaza.
WHEREAS intentionally using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare by depriving them of aid indispensable to their survival, and directing attacks against civilians are both war crimes.
THEREFORE, Be It Resolved that the Arizona Democratic Party officially goes on record calling for the immediate safe resumption of unimpeded humanitarian aid into Gaza as called for
by 44 Democratic U.S. Senators in a letter to the Trump Administration on July 27, and because Israel continues to block humanitarian aid to Gaza in violation of international law, the Arizona Democratic Party supports ending all U.S. offensive military aid to Israel.
