At this time of year I remember Bob Rix used to stick his head out the window on the side of his house. And say tell your mom and dad you want a cookie. Miss those days. Miss you Bob. Hope your Christmas in heaven is bright from above.

Bern as he was known to all passed away July 1st, 2016 at the age of 78. He was born to Bernard & Margaret (Lutz) Rix in Forest Park, IL. He moved to Arizona at the age of 9. He was married to Roxanne (Lindner) Rix for 27 Years & had 6 Children. He was a loving Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Great Grandfather & Friend. Bern was survived by Roxanne, 1 Son, Chris (Nicole) Rix, 5 Daughters, Becki (Hollis) Brown, Twin of Theresa (Tim) Eads, Vicki (John) Hattabaugh, Patty (James) Porenta-Hansen, Machelle (David) Leverage, his loving 22 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, his sister Jeanne Elliot, many nephews, nieces, & extended family. Bern was known in Arizona, Nationally & Internationally as the Man who made Christmas come to life. He & his twin Brother Bob started decorating Christmas at the young age of 17. He decorated & opened his house as a tour for all to share his joy of Christmas. He proudly participated in yearly interviews with both Newspaper & TV broadcasts. He appeared on national shows like Maury Povich, Caroline Rhea, & Good Morning America. Bern gave of himself 8 months of every year creating his own artwork through his Christmas Displays for over 50 years. Bern, you will forever be Christmas to many! He was preceded in death by his parents & twin brother.

Bertram Clifford Legg Jr. bought these from Bob many years ago while attending one of his Christmas displays. He had my picture taken with him and he signed them. He just donated them to the Coronado Neighborhood Association. Bob's house was in their boundaries. Hopefully they will be taken care of and treasured.
