New Year, New Paint!

The Board of Directors along with our management company, Vision Community Management, has begun specifically inspecting for homes and shared walls that need to have the exterior painted. Any home or wall that is discolored, faded, or has paint that is chipping will need to be repainted. Please remember, an Architectural Application will need to be submitted and approved by the communitie's Architectural Review Committee BEFORE any painting is started.

At this time we ask that all homeowners conduct a visual inspection of their home and exterior walls. The Association will begin sending notices to homes in March 2017.

Exterior Home Painting

It's important that each homeowner start conducting a visual inspection of the exterior paint on their home. Some of the homes are in need of repainting due to the harsh sun exposure and age of the paint. Signs to look for are:

• Chalky appearance may be a sign that the exterior paint is breaking down.
• Fading/Chipping of paint.
• Exposed wood.
• Make sure that you are inspecting areas that may have water damage due to irrigation and sprinkler systems.

THE NECESSARY PAINTING MUST BE COMPLETED BY DECEMBER 31, 2017.

Architectural Applications must be entirely completed using the Pre-approved Paint Schemes, or paint samples to be considered and approved. Please visit our community website at www.WeAreVision.com. Block Watch - Gardens at South Mountain - 2013.01.04

Dear Community,

INVESTIGATIVE LEAD INFORMATION: Below is an email I received from a homeowner in our community.

Hi Robert,

I hope your holiday went well. I wanted to contact you about a Block Watch issue that should be addressed with the neighborhood. Last Saturday, 12/29, my boyfriend and I caught three youth throwing rocks at our windows from the empty lot just south of our neighborhood. The youth were detained by police and I believe are being charged for criminal misconduct and criminal damages.

As you know I have had multiple incidents of my windows being damaged from rocks since April 2011. I am aware of other neighbors having similar incidents since then. Because these youths were caught by authorities they are now considered "Investigative Leads" for any similar incidents to the area.

I would like to ask you to disseminate to the neighborhood that if they have had vandalism to their home (especially from rocks) and especially if their home is adjacent to the Sterling Point apartments, the empty lot or school area to please let Officer Amato know there is an "Investigative Lead" for their original police report now. Because the youth are under 18 their identifies remain confidential and only available for the police department. The police number for my case from Saturday is 2012-2323234.

Sterling Point is considered a crime free apartment complex and because of the allegations brought to these youth they and their families will most likely be asked to move. I hope this is one step forward in the right direction to cleaning up our neighborhood!

IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING YOUR TRASH AND RECYCLING COLLECTION

STARTING July 13, 2012 trash and recycling will be collected on the same day.

TRASH & RECYCLING - NEW WAY, SAME DAY!

Please note that the pickup day for trash and recycling will be Friday beginning Friday, July 13th, 2012.

Both Blue & Green trash containers will be emptied on the same day.

Containers must be 4' apart

Containers must be out by 5:30 a.m.

Bag and tie your trash and grass

Lids must be closed

Note: All trash & recycling cans must be put back behind your fence or inside your garage within 12 hours of being collected by the City of Phoenix.

South Mountain Police Precinct "Coffee With A Cop"

This is a great opportunity to get to know police officers working your neighborhoods. Come meet them from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Starbucks on 19th Avenue and Baseline Road. This is for everyone in your community, so feel free to invite all your neighbors!

The gate codes were changed the first of December. Then someone who either forgot their new gate code decided to ram the entrance gate with their vehicle and did a lot of damage. Were still getting quotes to repair the gates which are coming in between $1,500 & $3,500. We should have the boards approvals and will authorize the repairs soon. If anyone sees someone ramming the gates with their vehicle, please get their license plate number and report them to Vision Management team. Thank you....

Residents -- we are having a Community Garage Sale. Saturday, October 9, 2010. 7 a - 2 p. The Board will take care of signage and advertising. If enough people express interest, we may rent tables for homeowners to use and have them delivered. Each homeowner will have to pay their own table rental costs. Join in -- the bigger the better!
