Phoenixville Area Community Services Nurturing food security in the Phoenixville Area since 1972. In 2020 we’ve taken steps to meet that goal. We were awarded a grant to purchase a refrigerated van.
(1)

Our goal is to provide access to healthy, nutritious food and this requires adequate refrigeration and storage space. An important part of our vision for food distribution, this van will help us pick up and transport fresh food. We purchased a new building at 101 Buchanan St. This building can support our mission, which is to nurture food security in our community. Please consider donating to our Building the Future campaign. We are most grateful for any and all support. https://bit.ly/2UqlV9n

🎃 Happy Halloween from PACS! 👻

We’re spreading a little extra Halloween fun today thanks to the wonderful members of the Downingtown East High School National Organization for Women (NOW)!

Pictured here are Vice President Zoe Murphy (in costume!) and President Ashvika Sista, who recently stopped by PACS to donate Halloween candy. Today, Zoe will be joining us at PACS to hand out candy and help make Halloween a little sweeter for our community! 🍬

A total of 25 members of NOW came together to put bags of candy together for this special donation. And their support doesn’t stop here! The group hopes to continue supporting the PACS mission through future projects, including birthday bags and other opportunities to give back.

We are so grateful to Zoe, Ashvika, and all 25 members for thinking of PACS and finding meaningful ways to support our community. We look forward to continuing this partnership!

Thank you for helping us make the season a little brighter! 🧡

Have a safe, happy, and spooktacular Halloween! 🎃

🎄 Help Make Christmas Special for a Local Family! 🎁

PACS still has 11 families who need support this holiday season, and you can make a difference by adopting a family and providing gifts for their children. When you adopt a family, you will get a personalized list of the clothing sizes, and items on the child's wishlist.

For many children, receiving a special gift at Christmas can create a moment of joy, excitement, and normalcy during a difficult time.

If you’re able to help, please consider adopting a family and making a child’s holiday a little brighter.

📧 To adopt a family, email Maria at:

Let’s come together as a community to make sure every child has something special to unwrap this Christmas.

A cute story from Empty Bowls 20th Anniversary!

Sometimes, a bowl just speaks to you! At this year’s PACS Empty Bowls event, guest Don Smith had his eye on a very special bowl after spotting it in our earlier posts. It belonged to none other than PACS President Mary Fuller, and Don was determined to make it his!

We’re happy to report that mission accomplished! Pictured here are Mary and Don, proudly showing off his new bowl.

A huge THANK YOU to Don and all other attendees for supporting Empty Bowls!

💙🌟 PACS Volunteer of the Month: Denise Garon! 🌟💙

For the past four years, Denise Garon has been a valued part of the PACS family! Denise volunteers at our front desk twice a week, welcoming clients, helping newcomers learn about our services, and building connections with familiar faces in our community.

Denise was drawn to PACS by a desire to give back and do something meaningful with her time. Through volunteering, she’s seen firsthand the strength and resilience of our community and the importance of creating a place where everyone feels supported, respected, and welcomed without judgment.

Her commitment to helping others extends beyond PACS. Denise also volunteers with the MS Society and leads a local support group for people living with multiple sclerosis.

Denise, thank you for sharing your time, compassion, and kindness with our community! We’re so grateful to have you on the PACS team. Congratulations on being our Volunteer of the Month!
