October is National Farm to School Month! We’re celebrating the connection between local farms, fresh foods, and school cafeterias. From the farmers who grow our food to the meals served on students’ trays, farm to school helps bring communities together! 🚜🌱

The circus came to town at Pickens Elementary School last Friday, and what a SPECTACULAR way to celebrate National School Lunch Week. 🎉 🍿 From tasty school meals and exciting carnival games to colorful decorations and plenty of laughter, the cafeteria was bursting with BIG TOP fun. 🎟️ Our amazing cafeteria team went all out, dressing up as clowns and circus performers to bring the magic of the circus to life for our students. 🎪 🤡

From balancing acts to popcorn treats and picture-perfect smiles, this celebration had it all. 🌟 A BIG round of applause for the Pickens Elementary cafeteria team for turning an ordinary school day into an unforgettable circus celebration. ❤️

Yesterday, our very own Lisa Hayes presented at the School Nutrition Association of SC Annual Conference for the first time! If you follow us, you no doubt see Lisa’s hard work every week! She is often the photographer showing off our new and delicious menu items right here on social media.

We are so thankful to have Lisa and her creativity on our team, and are proud of her for sharing with other cafeteria managers in our state!

We’re excited to share that we have been named a Top 10 Certified SC Cafeteria Award winner! 🍎 🎉 Our nutrition program will receive $5,000 to support the purchase of local products and bring more South Carolina-grown foods to our school meals. We’re proud to be recognized and look forward to continuing to serve our students! 🥕
