Several members participated in a structural burn class in Dushore last weekend. Training like this helps sharpen our skills for the real thing. If you know a structure that is in our area and are looking at having it taken down please reach out to us.

This week is fire prevention week, however we feel fire prevention should happen every week! This year’s topic is Safe Charging is a Superpower! Please take a minute to review and share the attached graphic with some important tips when it comes to charging electronic devices.

And as always, check your smoke detector and CO alarm batteries and discuss your exit plan and safe meeting place with everyone in your household.

It is with profound sadness the membership of Picture Rocks Volunteer Fire Company announce the unexpected death of one of our own. Roberta “Bert” Phillips has dedicated countless hours to the community through the fire company as an EMT, ambulance captain, secretary, and numerous fundraising committees. Bert was always working behind the scenes ordering and preparing food for our fundraisers.

Our hearts go out to Bert’s family and friends during this difficult time.
