🚨 INCIDENT UPDATE | HIGH-ANGLE RESCUE 🚒

This morning, the Pierce City Fire District (PCFD) was dispatched to St. Mary's Church to assist a painter stranded more than 65 feet above the ground after his aerial work platform experienced a mechanical failure.

PCFD personnel responded with Ladder 49 and strategically positioned the apparatus to reach the stranded worker. A firefighter ascended the aerial ladder, made contact with the individual, and assisted him in safely transferring from the disabled lift onto the ladder.

The individual was then safely escorted down the ladder to the ground.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported!

This incident highlights the importance of having the right equipment, proper training, and personnel prepared to respond when the unexpected happens.

Great work by everyone involved in bringing this incident to a safe conclusion!
