Monday's Memory...a look back at historic Pigeon Forge

The day after Grandparents' Day a few weeks ago, the Gobble family photo and home were shared. Here are two young boys who were raised on the farm of the Henry Gobble Place. Archival information shows that they are Henry Householder (left: 1909-1977) and Mayford Householder (1911-1934), whose parents were Andrew Temple and Carrie Gobble Householder. The Householders had two daughters as well - Mildred and Carrie Agnes. Andrew had two boys, Wilbur and James, with his first wife Sallie who passed at the young age of 28.

The boys are sitting on the old grinding stone rack. You can see the handle sticking out the right side. Look at those sweet faces - what a great photo!
