Model City Head Start

Look how our week is “shaping” up at Model City Head Start! Our teachers provide new lessons plans each week filled with a variety of learning opportunities for our students.

Over the next few weeks, all 4 of our Head Start classrooms will participate in Classroom Assessment Scoring System CLASS observations! 🌟

What does this mean?
A trained observer will visit our classrooms to look at how our teachers interact with and support your children. CLASS focuses on three key areas:
❤️ Emotional Support: Building positive, encouraging relationships.
📚 Classroom Organization: Keeping routines smooth and engaging.
💡 Instructional Support: Promoting thinking, problem-solving, and language skills.

Why do we do this?
CLASS observations are an essential part of how we maintain our School of Excellence standard! By measuring and reflecting on our everyday teacher-child interactions, we ensure your children receive the highest quality early learning environment to help them thrive.

Thank you for partnering with us in your child’s learning journey! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. 😊✨

💙We want to give a HUGE thank you to Howard Family Eyecare for always being so wonderful with our Head Start children!

Their office truly runs like a well-oiled machine! From the moment our children walk through the door, they are welcomed with kindness, patience, and smiles. Everything is organized and runs so smoothly and somehow they make getting an eye exam feel like a fun experience for our little ones. 🥰

Thank you, Howard Family Eyecare, for investing in our children and being an amazing part of our Head Start Family!💙

We appreciate you more than you know!
